Susy graduated from Drake University in 1976 with a BA in Broadcast Journalism. She has anchored and reported news in Sioux City, IA; Memphis, TN; Quad Cities, IA; Topeka; KS; Las Vegas, NV and in Des Moines, IA.

Susy owned her own media and communications consulting company.

She is thrilled to be in the newsroom and on the air serving Des Moines.

Susy has won several awards for her reporting including one for a series on child abuse in Iowa that she is particularly proud of.
